I urnace, outpaced and 111 close quarters for the first quarter, saved ground by a close turn when entering the stretch and, easily passing Lady Irma in the last seventy-five yards, won going away. Roy T ran an excellent race, was badly cut off just after passing the far turn and thrown far hack, then had to go around when entering the last quarter and finished with a great rush. Enfield showed the most early speed, but tired under the whip in the last seventy-five yards. Lady Irma ran a fast half, but quit iu the final sixteenth. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Otilo followed the pacemakers closelj and appeared to be closin" up on the winner when an eighth out, but tired in the final hundred yards. La Reine Hindoo raced at top speed all the way and tired badly when the pinch came. Jane Laurel ran well and finished fast. Nasmer-lto ran poorly. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Merrill began slowly and had to Bvin wide for a clear course when entering the stretch, but came rapidly in the stretch and finished resolutely Work -.nd Play, sharply cut off by Merrill after passing the far turn, lost much ground, but came through on the cutside of the others in the stretch into a fast going third. Antigo showed the most speed for four and a half furlongs and then tired fast. Belle of Iroquois quit badly in the stretch drive. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Angelus dashed into a big lead when well into the backstretch and appeared to have the race won when an eighth out, but faltered suddenly in the last seventy-five yards under sharp punishment. Husky, after a rough trip, came through with a belated rush in the last sixteenth. Ida May showed speed, but tired badh when opposite the final eighth post. Dainty Belle set the early pace and stood a long stretch drive gamely. Niblick closed a gap and, under a powerful hand ride, finished fast. Day Star came fast in the stretch, nannibal Bey showed speed but tired Vivant ran well to the stretch. The winner was entered for 00: no bid.
