FAST MILES RECORDED THIS YEAR. So far in ithe racing of this year a mile has been run in 1:35 or faster seventy-six times. These miles have been won by fifty-nine different horses. The crowning achievement in this line was Centre Shots mile in 1:372, which displaced the Dick Welles Kiamesha II. record.
