Duke of Orleans, favored by the going, was outpaced to the stretch and finished with a remarkable rush. Plaiisible, away badly, ran a poor race. Lord Provost set the early pace and, after close contention to midway of the stretch, tired. Curriculum was prominent to the stretch and also dropped out. Ellerd ran a bad race. Aks-Ar-Bon, away poorly, steadily Improved his position into a fast going third. Altamor. after prominent pursuit for six furlongs, tired. Bishop W. ran forwardly for a half and retired. Toll Box made the pace to the stretch and quit suddenly and badly. The Vicar was handicapped by the going and a bad rider. Lady Rensselaer was very dull in speed.
