Crossover, after being patiently reserved in close pursuit, caught the leaders tiring and drew out handily at the end. May Florence was excessively urged to set the pace and outran Hndas Sister and tired in the stretch, but came again persistently and finished gamely. Hudas Sister lapped the pacemaker to the final sixteenth before tiring. Coonskin, outpaced early, finished fast and is promising. The winner was entered for ,000; no bid. Scratched — Popover. 103. Jimmy Lane blundered seriously early at the water jump in the first time around and was never dangerous afterwards, but finished gamely. Oaklawn ran prominently for nearly two miles. Waldo, from a flatfooted start, closed up rapidly after being outpaced to the stretch, closed an immense gap iu the last quarter and won going away while easing up. Dullcare ran lapped on the pacemaker for slightly over a half and outstayed Angerona finally. The latter made the running from the start and was cxcessively urged to shake off her attendant and tired badly in consequence. Jacquellna. well up throughout, made a last finish. Hilarious, bumped at the start, took command in a twinkling and proceeded to spreadeagle his opposition under a pull, finished slowing down to a walk and far outclassed the pthers. Joe Madden broke sideways. bat ran into quick forward contention, dropped rearward in the middle running and flowed an immense tail in a whirlwind finish. Fayette, crowded out on the first turn, ran second for a quarter in strenuous pursuit of the pacemaker, unaccountably dropped back on the far turn and finished unexpectedly fast. Footpad had scant chance with a bad ride, was pulling up. though whipped incessantly, and made a wide stretch turn. Aster dOr got away poorly, and closed up well. King Sol gained steadily in the last half. Ruble, pulling up at the start, closed a gap under a bad ride. The winner was entered for 00: no bid. Rio Grande, well up from the start, rapidly improved his position in the last half, but tired midway of the stretch after menacing the leader seriously. Pins and Needles, well up throughout, ran gamely, but tired in the dosing drive. Goleonda. a prominent contender for tbe first mile, failed to stav. Lad of Langden. repeatedly pulling up. was shuttled out of a good position on the backstretcb and never dangerous afterwards. Ruxton set the early pace and was prominent for six furlongs, but failed to stay. Marcellus, hopelessly outrun all the way, rau a bad race. The winner was entered for ,000: no bid.
