MADDENS EXPERIMENTS WITH FAYETTE. New York. June 22. — Each of Fayettes starts has found him equipped in a different manner. John 1".. Madden has evidently been at his wits ends to discover just what was suitable for bis good three-year oid in order to get the best results. Fayette has raced with and without blinkers, has worn aluminum pads in front, raced with sat them: was rigged with a sort of standing martingale. In the Brooklyn Derby lie went to the host minus blinkers, aluminum pads and rigging to prevent him from throwing his head up. Result — the best race he has shown so far this season.
