Little King was in nearest and close attendance on tlio pacemaker in the early running and tired in the closing drive. Christina ran forwardly throughout and finished gamely. Charlie Hargrave, well up ail the way, had no misliaps and quit finally. Sandrian ran in brief prominence and retired early.. Pretend was badly outrun from start to finish. Seymour Beutler ran in forward and persistent pursuit and was a fast going second. Nattie Bumppo, outpaced in the early running, finished with a belated rush. Queen Marguerite, after prominent attendance on the pacemakers to the stretch, tired palpably and was short. Cordova, away very badly, closed a big gap. George W. L?lolt was never danger-mis. " Bolleek showed speed for the first half. Trois Temp ran a bad race and was outpaced throughout. The winner, entered for 00, was bid up to ,200 and retained. Kentucky Beau, excessively urged in pace-making, drew out in the first mile and led by a wide gap, but is still jumping clumsily and succumbed in the last mile into an easing up second. Sandy Creeker. outpaced and in a rear position from the start, nearly fell at the water jump and closed a big gap afterwards in an extra game effort. Montgomery was injudiciously sent out to make the pace from the start and was surrounded and outpaced In the last quarter. Hill Top, luckily placed from the start in forward pursuit of the pacemakers, ontstayed his opposition in a long closing drive. Lawton Wiggins, from a slow inside start, rapidly improved his position in the last half and crossed in front in the stretch into the lead, but succumbed finally in a good race. Twilight Queen ran in prominent contention from the start, was momentarily in front midway of the stretch, but was crowded out by Lawton Wiggins and Hill Top and held on into a close up third. Blackford ran in forward contention for six furlongs in close quarters, but met with interference in tiie stretch and tired finally and was unlucky. Sliapdale, well up for seven furlongs, tired at the end. Casque set a stiff pace for six furlongs and tired from being excessively urged. Court Ladyfinished well up. Constellation was practically left. The winner was entered for ,000; no bid.
