JAMES BUTLER MAY BECOME OWNER. Saratoga. X. Y.. August 18. Reports have been prevalent that Pat Dunne will organize and train a stable of thoroughbreds for James Butler, president of the Empire City Racing Association. To- day Mr. Butler, who is enthusiastic over the futuro of racing, declared that lie had neither priced anv race Iioitcs nor taken any steps to enter upon a racing campaign. Mr. Butler further said that lie would make no statement as to his plans, which were for the future to determine. Notwithstanding Mr. Butlers disclaimer, report are more persistent than ever, and from a source of authority comes the information that there is a decided probability that Mr: Butler wilT go into racing on a big scale, with Dunne as trainer.
