PRINCE IMPERIAL SOLD FOR 2,000. Buffalo, N. 1.. September 4. One of the most important sales of the year was consummated without any flourish of trumpets today, when Prince Imperial was transferred to J. S. McDonald, acting for R. F. Little of New York. The price is said to have been 2,000. In commenting on the sale John Markloin said that the reason he let the colt go was because he was anxious to give him every opportunity, knowing that he is a good racer. Markloin owns Dixoletta. the dam of Prince Imperial, also a yearling brother to him that is said to hold out greater promise than did Prince Imperial at the same age. Prince Imperial will be shipped to New York tomorrow.
