GOOD PATRONAGE AT COEUR DALENE. Spokane, Wash., September 27. Running right back to her last promising race and properly keyed up for the route. Ocean Queen today won the Spokane Handicap at Coeur dAleno in a terrific stretch drive with Jack Paine and White Wool. She led from start to finish. Jack Paine made a gallant bid, but was not gxd enough. The attendance was large and eighteen books, exclusive of the field and combination out-fits, cut in. which is the largest number so far. The sport is steadily gaining in popularity. Stendal broke a leg in the first race and was destroyed. W. B. Carson shipped his stable to Laurel tonight and jockey Hopkins accompanied lilrn. The midget rider heads the list of winning jockeys here.
