SWANNANOA, away slowly, closed a big gap quickly into prominent contention and-finished fast and ganieiy. HIGH PRIVATE, after running prominently, was shuttled back on the stretch turn, but came again and had to be hard driven to outstay DONAU. The latter showed great speed and set u very fast pace for over three-quarters, but quit in the stretch drive. The others were always well beaten. STONE STREET began slowly, but moved up into forward contention with a rush after going a half mile and, standing the linal drive gamely, was drawing away at the end. SA3I BARBER was always a forward contender and held on well throughout. CROW R01!B showed high early speed and set a fast pace for a wile, then tired. SILVER KNIGHT closed a gap and finished fast. AZO ran fairly well. T03I BIGBEE suffered from much interference. Overweights Robert Bruce, 1 pound.
