AMERICAN HORSES PLACED AT NEWMARKET. Loudon, September 27. At Newmarket today, it being the second day of the Newmarket First Octo-icr Meeting, the Great Eastern Railway Handicap ot 10 sovereigns each, with 500 sovereigns added, for three-year-olds and upwards, at six furlongs, over the Bretby Course, was won by J. B. Joels four-year-old chestnut colt. Suuningdale, by Sundrldge Sweet Storv. II. P. Whitneys three-year-old brown colt. Iron Mask, by Dlsguise Royal Rose, was second, and J. R. Keenes three-year-old chestnut colt, Runnymede, by Voter Running Stream, third. Twelve started. The October Handicap, of 500 sovereigns, for throe-year-olds and upwards, over the last mile and a half of the Cesarewitch Course, was won by Loins Winans four-year-old bay colt, Dalmatian, by Ethelbert Ionls.
