AMERICAN HORSES PLACED AT NEWMARKET. Loudon, September 27. At Newmarket today, it being the second day of the Newmarket First Octo-ier Meeting, the Great Eastern Railway Handicap of 10 sovereigns each, with 500 sovereigns added, for three-year-olds and upwards, at six furlongs, over the Bret by Course, was won by J. B. Joels four-year-old chestnut colt. Suuningdale. by Sundridge Sweet Storv. II. P. Whitneys throe-year-old brown colt. Iron Mask, by Disguise Royal Rose, was second, and J. R. Keenes throe-year-oltl chestnut colt. Runnymede. by Voter Running Stream, third. Twelve started. The October Handicap, of 500 sovereign?!, for three-year-olds and upwards. oer the last mile and a half of the Cesarewiteli Course, was won by Louis Winaus four-year-old hay eolt, Dalmatian, by Ethelbcrt Ionis.
