GOOD PATRONAGE AT COEUR DALENE. Spokane, Wash., September 27. Running right back to her last promising race and properly keyed up for the route, Ocean Queen today won the Spokane Handicap at Coeur dAlene in a terrific stretch drive with Jack Paine and Wldte Wool. She led from start to finish. Jack Paine made a gallant bid. but was not good enough. The attendance was large and eighteen books, exclusive of the field and combination out-fits, cut i in, which is the largest number so far. The sport i is steadily gaining in popularity. Stendal broke a leg in the first race and was destroyed. W. B. Carson shipped his stable to Laurel tonight and jockey Hopkins accompanied him. The midget rider heads the list of winning jockeys here.
