ENTRIES FOR PIMLICO STAKES. Baltimore. Md., September 27. Entries for the stakes of the Maryland Jockey Club hold out the promise of a remarkably good season of sport over the old Pimlico course. The meeting is to begin October 7 and continue until October 23. The stakes that closed recently were the Walden, Green Spring Valley Steeplechase, Pimlico Selling Stakes "and the Bowie. Each brought a liberal response from the horsemen with quality well represented. The Walden is at one mile for two-year-olds and almost all of the prominent racing stables are named uniting the nominations. The lot comprises: AV. I. Althouses Fond; August Belmonts Vesti-hule.
