HORSES ARRIVING AT NORFOLK. Nominations for Jamestown Jockey Clubs Four Stakes Are Made Public. Norfolk, Va., November I. Horses are arriving almost daily at the Jamestown Jockey Club track for the approaching lifteen-days meeting, though the inaugural date is still nearly a fortnight away. Three carloads came down from Laurel today and joined the stables already at the track, which included the horses of J. M. Cooper, William Martin, J. Charles, W. McOlvney, Jack McPherson, II. Warner, G. C. Brenton and .T. T. Temple. From now on arrivals are expected every day. Repairs and improvements to the track are practically completed and horses are being worked over the course daily. Track superintendent George Miller has taken up his residence at the clubhouse and, with Manager Bob Levy and Associate Judge Fred W. Gerhardy, is in personal charge of the plant and the allotment of stall room.
