LAST THOROUGHBRED SALE OF 1913. The last thoroughbred sale of 1913 in America will take place at Lexington on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 11 and 12, when about 200 head of stallions, mares, yearlings, weanlings and horses in training will lie offered. Premier among the stallions to be sold is that successful horse, Plaudit, which heads the consignment of J. 17. Madden, Hamburg Place. This horse, together with twenty-odd head of mares, including some of the best lot that have been offered at a general auction in a considerable time will afford breeders an opportunity to enforce or replenish their studs with such material as Veil sister to Maskette, Passau dam of four stake winners and half sister to Colin, Ivory Bels dam of Old Rosebud, Miss Granvill? dam of Little Nephew and numerous other high-class matrons. These, with the select mares from such establishments as August Belmonts Nursery Stud. Catesby Woodfords Raeeland. J. B. Haggins Klmeudorf. Barney Sehrelbers Woodauds which includes tbe dam of Jack Atkiu and a weanling by Star Shoot out of this mare, G. II. Whitneys Melrose, J. I. Neets Kindergarten, K. It. Bradleys Idle Hour and various other lots, make the breeding division of the sale most attractive. In addition there are quite a numlier of good vearllngs cataloged by such sires as Admonition. Cederstrome. Contestor. Dlretloneer. Gold Heels. Hastings. Jack Atkiu. J-iek Point, Liiniilas, Onnondale. Planudes. Sain. The Picket, Toddiugton, Transvaal, etc., as well as some horses in training that have won and shown well.
