NOTES OF THE TURF IN FOREIGN LANDS. Jockeys Arthur Templenian and Arthur Duller sail 011 November 7 for India, the last named being under agreement to ride for Mr. Ali-Bin-Talib. Both will return by March. .1. Tbe pony he mounted fell and Carter was picked up unconscious with a broken leg. F. Wootton has the best average of any jockey riding in England. Increasing weight has handicapped him severely this season and it is only with difficulty and much wasting that he can go to scale at 123 pounds. Percy Whltaker, the Royston trainer, concerns himself most with the National Hunt performers, but during the summer has a fiat race animal or two of ills own. October 20 at Leicester be landed the October Auction Nursery with Luxor, an American-bred gelding, which was subsequently bought in for 370 guineas. Luxor is by Onnondale Lux Casta and cost Whitakor 75 at the sale of the Oxnard year-Dugs last year,
