KENNYMORE WINS THE DEWHURST PLATE. At the Newmarket Houghton meeting In England last Thursday the Dewhurst Plate for two-year-olds at seven-eighths of a niile was won by Sir John Thursbys colt Kennymore, by Jqhn oGaunt Cro-ceuin, which on the occasion of his only, other race thin year finished third to Corcyra and Stornoway In the Middle Park Plate. . Lord londonderrys chestnut colt Corcyra. by Pblynielus Pearmain, finished second, and W. Hall Walkers bay colt Carrickfcr-gus, by Count Sehoniburg Lady Lightfoot, was third. The latter Is a half brother to Prince Palatine. Corcyra was a 2 to 5 favorite and it was 4 to 1 against Kennymore. On the same day Aleppo won the Jockey Club Cup at two miles aud a quarter, with Kivoli second and Cylba third. He also won this race last year, defeating the 1 to 20 favorite. Prince Palatine, and almost causing a turf scandal.
