LOUISE TRAVERS, close up from the start, tame to the outside while rounding the last turn and closed up rapidly, but was driving hard at the finish to outstay MATER. The latter began slowlv, but moved up with a rush on the far turn and outgamed the tiring SALON for second place in the stretch drive. SALON showed much speed and set a fast pace to the homestretch, but tired in the final drive. HEARTBEAT was crowded against the inside fence on the turn out of the back-stretch and was pulled up. GALAXY ran a good race and finished close up. DUENNER in the stretch drive after being a forward contender from the start. DR. DUENNER only cantered in the carlv ruiining, but had to he taken around on the outside on the far turn to get to the leaders and unexpectedly tired in the final drive.
