WORLD-FAMOUS BROODMARE IS DEAD. The renowned broodmare. Festa. recently died a the AAaldfried Stud in Germany, where she had earned lasting fame -by producing five foals, which during their turf careers won in the aggregate over 05,000 in stakes. They were Festino, Feis. Fabula. Faust and Fervor, and of these Fabula was the only filly. In addition Festas first-born, Salute, wen 7,500 in England for Lord Dunraven. Her grand total therefore, was over 22,500, which has. says "Deutseher Sport," been exceeded only by the produce of one mare of recent years.
