NEW MUTUEL MACHINES FOR JUAREZ. El Paso, Tex., December 5. Slanager Winn has wired to Laurel, SId., for ten more mutuel machines, to be sent at once to replace the system of machines in use here at present. When they are installed here there will lie thirteen machines in operation, one for ten-dollar wagers, three each of the five-dollar value and six of two dollars each. Out on the lawn and in the free field there will be sold mutuels of the value of one dollar, and the tickets sold from the lawn and field will be registered on the three machines in the main betting ring in advance of the horses reaching the post, so the public can see at a glance the amount of money wagered from these two places. The new machines are of tlip Grainger type, operated by cue man, who sells the tickets and registers the bet at the same time. The machines will be sent by express and will be put into operation on their arrival.
