KING DICK set a great pace to midway of the stretch, but gave way when challenged by the winner. ROLLIN LAIRD began slowly and tired after racing into closest pursuit of the pacemaker. CONNAUGHT mads up ground. CHRISTMAS EVE set the early pace and quit. AMBRI will do soon. The winner, entered for 00, was bid up to 00 and sold to W. E. Suggs.
