CAPTAIN PRESGRAVES MEMORY HONORED. Montreal, Que.. December 5. The funeral of the late Capt. W. F. Presgrave was held yesterday morning from the chapel of the Royal Victoria to Cote des Keige Cemetery, and was largely attended by friends of the late horseman in Montreal and from several out-of-town racing centers. There were floral tributes from the majority of the Canadian racing associations, while some were, also sent by racing associations in the United States, showing with what respect the deceased was held by his numerous friends. During the funeral of Captain Presgrave, Ike Striker, another well-known horseman, passed away at the Royal Victoria Hospital. He was well known to Canadian followers of the turf, particularly during the latter days of. his career, as he campaigned a large string on-the local half-mile and independent race tracks. Early in September Mr. Striker was taken ill and has since then been confined to the hospital until his death, which occurred yesterday morning from a general breakdown. During the final meeting at Hillcrest Park, To- ronto, his stable of horses was disposed of at auction. Word of his death has been sent to his brother, E. W. Striker, of the Star Clothing Company, of Rochester, N. Y.
