NO CLASH EXPECTED AT THE SPRINGS. Esses Park and Oaklawn Tracks Are Reported to Have Agreed on Division of Dates, Two race meetings are now said to bo assured at Hot Springs, but without danger of friction. The first meeting will start immediately after the close of the New Orleans meeting, about the middle of March, and will be followed by the meeting at the other track, thus providing continuous racing until the latter part of April, by which time horsemen will begin to ship for the opening of the Kentucky tracks. Thus the Kentuckians racing at New Orleans will be provided with continuous racing from January 1 until the regular summer season. From Hot Springs, Ark., comes word that two race meetings are assured the Arkansas resort, the first of which will start directly after the .sApgejaf the New Orleans meeting. This means that the Hot Springs races will open about the first of March and run until the latter part of April, closing in time for shipment to Kentucky, where Lexington wilt open the blue grass spring season. Becentlv it was rumored that there might be a conflict between the associations running the Essex Park and Oaklawn tracks, and a splt over the division of dates. It now is reported that there will be no trouble of this kind and that the dates will be allotted evenly by the board of governors of the Business Men League, which will have entire control of racing in the Vapor City. The business men are expected to send out an announcement in the near future that Essex Park will be the one to open the sport with a meeting to run eighteen racing days, and that Oaklawn Park will follow with a meeting of like duration. Not only will the Business Mens League allot the dates, but the governors will have full supervision over the track officials and other details. Work has been going on at the Essex Park course under the supervision of manager Sam Davis, and it is reported practically ready for operation
