DECISION ADVERSE TO DOUGLAS PARK. Judge Kirby Denies Plea to Enjoin Kentucky State Racing Commission from Naming Values. Louisville, Ky., December 12. An injunction sought by the Douglas Park Jockey Club to prevent the Kentucky State Racing Commission from putting into effect a new ruling with reference to purses in races that fall under the commissions jurisdiction, was denied by Judge Samuel B. Kirby in court here yesterday. The rule of the racing commission requires that purses of not less than 00 shall be put up for every race. In denying the injunction to the racing association and sustaining the defendant: demurrer to the petition the case, in effect, was thrown out of court. Judge Kirby s decision was delivered orally. He said because of press of business lie had been unable to prepare a written opinion, but might issue one later. An appeal is sure to be taken to the Supreme court.
