CONSIDER REVISED SELLING RACE RULES. Jockey Club Stewards Have Three Propositions Under Consideration Discuss Penalties Also. New York, December 12. Consideration is to be given to three propositions for revised selling race rules by the stewards of the Jockey Club. Three varieties of races may be sanctioned: First, public claiming before a race, as in France; second, claiming after a race by owners having starters in a race, including the winner plus the purse, and as much more as the claimant wishes to give for the horse, and, third, auction races, as of old, all surplus money to be added to overnight races the following day. There may also be some changes regarding penalties for winning match races and private subscription stakes.
