Fruit Cake and several other good thoroughbreds, has received an offer of 0,000 for his speedy filly. Fruit Cake, which won two races here and which finished right on top of Leoe-h-ares and J. J. Murelook in a three-quarters race when the track record of 1:12 was equalled. Fruit Cake is considered one of the best prospects among the three-year-old fillies of the year. and experienced turfmen say she looks like a sure tiling to win the Kentucky Oaks if track conditions suit her and she is in condition. The offer for Fruit Cake came from a syndicate of Kentucky turfmen who are anxious to win the Kentucky Oaks, which is for fillies and which, the ugh not so rich as other Kentucky stake-s, is prized highly among horse breeders. The syndicate was represented by Fletcher Drive-r, considered an excellent judge of thoroughbreds. Driver observed Fruit Cake closely in the paddock leefore and after her triumphant race last Tuesday, and Wedne-sclay morning looked her ove-r in her stall. He is more than satisfied that she is what he is looking for and. as he has saddled several winners of the Kentucky Oaks, he is anxious to land the- Zollicoffer tilly. It is said that the offer of 0,000 sounds good to Zollicoffer.
