"Past pe-rlorniunee-.s" showed Star of Love to be H. I., rains property and under the circumstances, if one had backed the Buxton entry without naming the horses, hi- would have won. If he had backed the Buxton entry, naming Sasin and Star of Love, or stipulating Star of Love to go. there would have- been a draw, for the reason that Star of 1,om- was not a member of t lit- Buxton entry. As a matter of course a backer of Star of Love alone would have lost.
