MADDEN BUYS PART OF ELMEND0EF FARM. fen lag tan. Ky., May 4. — John E. Madden has purchased of the J. B. Haggin estate the parts of Elmendorf Farm known as The Ford. Alexander and Henry Muir farms adjoining the property owned by Harry Payne Whitney on the Maysville pike. This part of the estate contains the dairy property, which he will operate temporarily. On the Russel Cave pike he has bought part of the George Graves farm, the Elk Hill Farm. Dixiana, the Tom Moore place, the Tucker farm and part of the Rogers farm, all of which immediately adjoin Green Hills, the mansion of Mrs. James B. Haggin. Ihe transaction in all totals about 2,000 acres and it is said to represent an investment of considerable more than a half million dollars.
