April 13. — That all who are interested in racing may know sn«"citically what the Kentucky State Racing Commission is expecting and has planned with regard to the raising of the ?80«. -000 that has been pledged by the thoroughbred horse interests to the American Bed Cross War Fund, the following is taken from the minutes of the meeting of the Commission here on April i: "Ipon motion duly made, seconded and carried. the racing associations licensed by the Kentucky State Racing Commission are requested to raise 00,000 during the year 191S for the American Red Cross War Fund, and the managers of the several licensed associations being present agreed to do so. "l]K n motion duly made and seconded, the following resolution was carried: "Resolved, by the Kentucky State Racing Commission, that the respective racing associations operating under license of this Commission be and are requested to retain from all purses, stakes and monevs won by the various horses racing on the several tracks the sum of 10 per cent of all said purses, stakes and moneys so won or sufficient thereof to produce the gross sum of 5,000 during the year 101 S and remit the sums collected to this Commission within ten days after the conclusion of their respective race meetings. "Resolved, that the said associations condition all of their purses and stakes in keeping with the foregoing resolution. "1pcn motion duly made, seconded and carried, the following resolution was adopted: "Resolved, by the Kentucky State Racing Com- mission, that the several riicing associations ojier-I a ting under licenses of this Commission retain 10 per cent or sufficient thereof to produce the aggre-i gate sum of Sl.VOOO during the year 101S from the salaries and pay of all employes and jockevs of said several racing associations, and remit the sum so collected to this Commission within ten days after the conclusion of their respective meetings. This resolution shall apply to all persons drawing salar-I ies of or more per day. For all employes re-. ceiving less than $•"• per day during race meetings the several racing associations shall pmr 10 ] er cent of the wages so paid.
