The going at the local track showed vast improvement yesterday and a large MMMWt of horses were out for work. Two periods of schooling the two-year-olds at the harrier were held today, but they were confined to getting I lie youngsters used to facing the tape. It will !»■ several days before they are schooled to breaking away. B. J. Brannon has a two year-old bay colt, name Hopeful, by McGe« — Pink Rose, of which l.e rxyact* much this spring. He is a brother to the fast filly Viva America, and he has been liberally nominated in the two-year-old stakes throughout the Kentucky circuit. In races where entranc" foes will be charged at the Kentucky Association track, the fees will all go to the winner.
