w MAX HIRSCH PRAISES CUBAN RACING NEW YORK, N. Y.. March 7. Max Hirsch was pleased to find the G. W. Loft horses that wintered at Belmont Park in fine condition. Hirsch, like everyone else who has visited the "Pearl of the Antilles" during the winter mouths, is loud in his praise over the wonderful climate of the Cuban isle and enthusiastic over Oriental Park as the scene for winter racing. "In addition to finding the finest climate I ever encountered," said Hirsch. "racing is well conducted at Havana. It is a good track, cxiapt when it rains, and although there was a poor class of horses racing there, the sport was properly and practically perfectly conducted. I have never seen jockeys ride with as little Interference and crowding as those lMys rode at Havana. So far as the racing was concerned, I heard of no complaints."
