JOHN JR. raced into the lead on the last turn and only tired in the lust sixteenth. BILLIE B. was going well at the end aiid closed quite a gap. HARRY BURGOYNE had the best of the start, but tired badly after going a half mile. SABRETASH had scant chance with his poor sendoff. SANDY LAD was also away poorly. TICACEY was beaten off.
