CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF The stable of W. C. Clancy, including Pickwick. Assume, Ting-a-Ling, Paddy Deal- and several others, has arrivel at the Fair Grounds, New Orleans. Gallaher Bros, have seven yearlings stabled at the Lexington track, where they will be wintered, together with the older horses that raced at Churchill Downs. The Prince of Wales has accepted an invitation to attend the National Horse Show, which opens at Madison Square Garden on Novemlier 17. the entire receipts of which go to the Salvation Army; Rivershore and Suudari. which sold in England recently for 30,000 and 7,500 respectively. Were bought by Captain Galroy for a French owner who intends to use them in continental jumping races. Pandion, from the same stable, S. B. Joels, and which sold for 7,500, goes to India for flat racing. It has been stated in England lately that Stephen Douoghue, the leading jockey, who rides for A. W. Cox. Mr. Fairie Coxs brother and his heir to both jockey and horses, was to ride next season for the many times millionaire Mr. James White, wiio owns Irish Elegance and a fine lot of horses. Donoghue denies the rumor and will follow the lute Danny Mahers courteous way of never changing his stable until its owners notified him that he no longer required his servives. Thus Maher always served Lord Rosebery in the late years of his riding caeer.
