ALBINO TROUT BRED IN NEW YORK In the experience of the New York state fish hatclii-rles one brook Iron! h: about rvery 50.0011 hatched is an albino and if these albinos are picked out of the school and carefully reared tliey will breed true. At the Caledonia hatchery there are a number of large albino lake trout which are so old that they are now blind. Adult albino trout in a wild state are seldom, if ever, encountered, one reason being that on account of their conspicuous-ness they are the first to be destroyed by kingfishers aud other birds of prey.
