PROLIFIC HONDURAS FISHING GROUNDS One of the richest fishing grounds in the- world is found in the -reef water along the north and northeast coast of Honduras. This region begins about 100 miles cast of Ceiba and extends some distance south .of Cape Gracilis a Dios. This is more or less shallow water, .forming a great coral reef with a number of small keys extending up above the surface of the water.- It is an ideal fish and turtle ground. If a canning factory were established somewhere accessible to this .region this valuable fish supply could be utilized. Native labor can be obtained at a reasonable, price from, twenty-five to thirty soles per month-with board. A sole is worth fifty cents United States gold. The natives of the north coast and bay islands are good laborers as well as excellent fishermen. The best harbor convenient to the fishing grounds is on the bay islands of Bonacca, 100 miles nbrtheast of Ceiba. It Is well protected,, and has. a sufficient depth of water for large vessels.
