MAY CHANGE MARYLAND RACING LAWS BALTIMOBE, Mil., August 11. Consideration i being given to a proposal to amend the Burke Bac. ing Commission law by the next legislature in order to counteract efforts that will probably be made to put race tracks entirely out of business. The proposed amendments will deal with the duration of meetings and the amounts to be assessed by the state. Other propositions tend to clarify the licensing situation and define the powers of the Maryland Bacing Commission to grant licenses and manager of race tracks to refuse to recognize same.
