WOODBINE FALL PROGRAM Ontario Jockey Club Lavish in Its Offerings for Meeting in September. TOBONTO. Ont., August 11. The Ontario Jockey Club, the oldest and foremost of Canadian racing organizations, offers an alluring program of great monetary value for its coming fall meeting, to be held at Woodbine Park from September 24 to October 1. A total of 12,000 in added money for the seven days of racing is the tempting dish placed before! the horsemen. Seventeen thousand dollars will be given for steeplechase races. The overnight races will be for purses of S3, 000, ,50!, ,000 and .,500, the latter the lowest value of any one race. - Altogether twelve stake races have been provided for the autumn meeting, eight of which close for entries on Thursday, August 18. The other four have already closed. The Toronto Autumn Cup and the Ontario Jockey Club Cup, at one mile and a quarter and two and a quarter miles respectively, each with ,500 added, are the stellar attractions of the races on the flat, while the Hendrie Steeplechase of ,000 added is the big feature of the races through the field. The following is a list of the stake events, entries for which close August 18: Toronto Autumn Cup, handicap, for three-year-olds and over, .,500 added; one mile and a quarter. .Ontario Jockey Club Cup, handicap, fur three-year-olds and over, .,500 added; two miles and a quarter. Durham Cup, for three-year-olds and over, foaled in Canada, ,000 added; one mile and three-quarters. Seagram Cup, handicap, for three-year-olds and over, property of owners resident in Canada, .,000 added; one mile and a sixteenth. King George Stakes, handicap, for three-year-olds and over, ,000 added; three-quarters of a mile. Lansdowne Nursery Handicap, for two-year-olds, foaled in Canada, ,000 added; three-quarters of a mile. Grey Stakes, for two-year-olds, .,000 added; one mile. Hendrie Memorial Steeplechase, for four-year-olds anil over, .,000 added; two miles and a half. In addition to the foregoing slakes there will be run: Maple Leaf Stakes. .,000 added, for three-year-old fillies foaled in Canada in 1918; one mile and a sixteenth. Stanley Produce Stakes, ,500 added, for foals of 191S closed March 1, 191S; one mile and a quarter. William Mnlock Cup, .,000 added; a challenge cup. Botlischild Cup, .,500 added; a challenge cup.
