GRAND ARRAY OF ENTRIES i i Good Horses Named For Ontario Jockey Club Fall Stakes. Long Distance Racing Featured at Coming Fall Meeting at Woodbine Park. TORONTO, Ont., August 31. While the Ontario Jockey Clubs autumn meeting will not be held until the last week in September, predictions are already being made that it will not only equal but surpass the successful meeting held in the spring. Judging by the high class of the nominations foi the autumn stakes, which closed for entries on August 18, some grand racing awaits the patrons of the famous old Woodbine course. Long-distance racing . is featured, and the Toronto Autumn Cup at a mile and a quarter, the Ontario Jockey Club Cup at two and one-quarter miles, the Durham Cup at one and three-quarter miles and the Seagram Cup at a mile and a sixteenth have attracted a fine array of entries. There will be no scarcity of horses for the meeting, although the fall meetings in New York, Maryland and Kentucky will be in full swing, the Ontario Jockey Club not being afraid to offer the proper inducements in rich stakes and generous overnight purses to bring horsemen here.
