CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF F. Bullock, the Australian jockey, has been retained by Mr. J. B. Joel for next year. The Australian Jockey Club registered nearly 4,000 horses during the recent racing season. In Germany the licenses of the leading jockeys, Kaspar, Rastenberger and Blume, have been canceled for life. Yellow Hands sire, Rossendale, which was sold so cheaply in England some weeks ago, is on his way to Sydney, Australia. In England and Ireland there are about 4,000 horses in training this year, at an averegae cost of not less than 0 a week. The Americau jockey John Reiff, who went to France last spring to resume riding on the Parisian courses, has accepted an engagement to ride in India during the winter. The American jockey Guy Garner will be kept out of the saddle for some days by an injury to i his right hand received while riding The Flyer at Saint Cloud on Monday, October 17.
