The London Handicap, with ,000 added, which featured the first summer meeting at Alexandra Park today, resulted in a driving victory for S. H. Darlings Vindictive, a four-year-old bay colt by St. Amant Invicta, Lord Ellesmeres Bright News was second, a neck behind the winner, and Mrs. Algernon Coxs Grand Court, which won the cup last year, was third. The weather was fine and the going good, although there have been heavy rains during the week. Thirteen horses started in the race. Grand Court was the favorite at 3 to 1, but Vindictive received strong support at 9 to 2. Bright News was quoted at 100 to 7. Tho race was at a mile and a quarter. A summary follows: S. H.
