Won driving; second and third the same. VENDOR followed the leaders until rounding the last turn, then gained rapidly when called on and, closing up steadily through the stretch, outfinished CANYON. CANYON, off forwardly, set a good pace and raced ORCUS into defeat in the first five-eighths, but could not withstand the winners challenge. BRAVO ran a game race and easily outstayed the others through the final eighth. ORCUS quit badly in the final quarter mile. HEREAFTER ran a bad race. Scratched G4GS3 Arapahoe, 105. MARY PATRICIA, off well, dropped back in the first sixteenth, but moved up fast when in her stride and made a fast and game finish. POLYTHIA was hard ridden throughout and was gaining slowly at the finish. STORY TELLER ran fairly well. Won driving; second and third the same. SOUTHERN CROSS, off forwardly, raced into the lead soon after the start and, setting a fast pace, held his advantage gamely when challenged in the stretch. A. claim of foul was lodged, but disallowed, because lie swerved out in the final eighth. PIRATE GOLD, runniug in greatly improved form, moved up menacingly at the englith post and finished gamely, but tiring. JAUNEBAR was buffeted about in the early running, but closed up gamely when clear and outstayed YANKEE STAR in the. final drive. YANKEE STAR made a game finish, but tired in the final fifty yards. EDICT began slowly and, gradually improving her position, was forced extremely wide on the turns and, making a fast finish, raced as if best. UNTIDY raced Into third place in the early running and held it resolutely in the final drive. SUWEEP, off poorly, closed a gap. WOODLAND showed much speed for the first half mile. HENNA made up ground and finished fast. SOLISA was crowded back. CROCHET tired badly. BEST LOVE was eased up when beaten. RUNVISO, in closest pursuit all the way, finished gamely under a good ride and would have won in another stride. RIGEL raced in close pursuit of the leader in the early running, but tired in the final eighth. LUMINIST, off slowly, closed an immense gap. CAROL, close up from the start, tired when called on.
