HAVANA, Cuba, November IS. Frank Steinhart, well-known Havana capitalist and sportsman, whose colors last year were carried successfully by a small but select band of two-year-olds of Cuban breeding, will be represented at Oriental Park the coming meeting by a somewhat more extensive stable, which, as in former years, will be handled by trainer Wade Brown. All of the horses in the Steinhart barn are, with one exception, Cuban bred, and, singularly, all are by the successful stallion Solomon. Most of the horses are two-year-olds. The chief ones are Frank S., a winner of the first part of the Cuban Produce Stakes of 1922 ; Havana Electric, which ran second in the same stake ; Joe V. and Babe Alice. The stable has a yearling that is a sister to Babe Alice. The only old horse in the stable is Frank Keogh, a seven-year-old gelding by Ben Tro-vato Mahala. In addition to the above Wade Brown is handling the six-year-old Misericorde for C. J. Harrah, and a yearling filly by Solomon Commauretta, which is the property of H. D. Brown, and will race in the name of the El Morro Stable. Frank J. Stevens has arrived here with the horses belonging to Tom Doyle, which he raced with a good measure of success at Maple Heights and other tracks in various states. Mumbo Jumbo, the hero of many a hard-fought battle and now nearly nine years old, is among the horses in the stable, and this veteran appears to be as good as ever. Among tho other horses in the stable are The Enquirer, Elmont and Ferrum, The latter a three-year-old by Ferole Mill Maid. Elmont is the only one on the ailing list and he will not be ready to start for at least a month. He is in the stable that E. L. Utterback is handling for M. V. Daly.
