FALSE ALARMS DERBY CUP SPECIAL CABLEGRAM. LONDON, England, November IS. The Derby Cup, which featured the closing day of the Derby meeting Friday, resulted in a surprise victory for J. H. Hulls False Alarm, four-year-old bay colt, by Rattle Jack White Lie, by Bendigo. False Alarm was quoted at 20 to 1 in the betting. The weather was fine and the going good for the race. A crowd of average size turned out. The mile and three-quarters was covered in 3:04. Bullock brought False Alarm to the finish three parts of a length ahead of A. P. Cun-liffes Charlebelle, which saved second place from Major A. B. Bayley Worthingtons Brinklow by a neck. The topweight, Flint Jack, finished fourth.
