AUSTRALIAN RIDER FOR JOEL W. II. McLachlan, the fine Australian rider, has been at work this year in England, but without the great success that came to Woot-ton, Bullock, Carslake and Gray. He is on his way home now and is to return and ride next year for Mr. S. B. Joel, for whom De Mcstre, also an Australian, trains. In Australia McLachlan was at the top of the tree, and with a full chance is sure to succeed in England.
