MELBOURNE CUP RUNNING Results in Victory for King Ingo-da Hundred Thousand Spectators Witness Big Race. LONDON, England, November 7. King Ingoda, four-year-old bay colt by Comedy King Ingoda, owned by C. L. Dubois and R. W. Bennett, won the Melbourne Cup of ?50,000 added at the Flemington course, Victoria, Australia, today, according to reports reaching here. The Cypher, which started favorite, was second and Mufti was third. The weather was cool and cloudy, with intermittent showers, but the usual enormous crowd turned out to see the running of the two-mile classic. There were about 100,000 spectators in the grounds when the horses went to the post. Twenty-nine of the 297 originally named faced the starter. The finish was close and exciting. King Ingoda crossed the finish a head in front of The Cypher, completing the course in 2:2Si, fast time for a slow track. Mufti was a length and a half behind the placed horse. Sister Olive, last years winner, finished ninth. King Ingoda was also the winner of this years South Australian St. Leger. Following is a summary of the race: C. L. Dubois and E. W.
