GRAND FLEET TO FRANCE LONDON, England, November 5. The eight-year-old English horse, Grand Fleet, has finished his racing career after running in fifty-eight races on the flat, of which he won nine. A beautifully bred horse, by Bachelors Double Dark Dinah, he Avon some good races at two years, and at three secured the Stockton Handicap and ran third for the Cambridgeshire in a field of fourteen to Brown Prince and Planet, giving them six pounds apiece. In all he won about ,500 in stakes. Grand Fleet has been sold through the agency of Donald Nicoll of the Martyrworthy Stud, Winchester, to M. Chubb of the Haras de Mesnil, France, and he should make a successful stallion, judging by the stud performances of his sire and grandsire, Bachelors Double and Tredennis.
