FOREST LORE began slowly and was outrun for the first half mile, then moved up on the outside t and, after entering the homestretch, wore the leaders down in the final eighth and, passing them, won 1 I going away. ROCK BOTTOM displayed the most early spede and raced into a long lead, but tired badly in the final drive. TAY DEAR saved ground on all the turns, but suffered from repeated interference and ran a good race. RED WREATH set the early pace and was a forward contender to the stretch, but . tired ia the last eighth. MAJORITY closed up with a rush through the stretch. VIRGINIUS raced in near pursuit of the leaders to the stretch and tired. DRAFT showed speed, but quit in the final quarter. KIRAH followed the leaders under slight restraint until well into the stretch, then responded gamely i when called on and, taking the lead at the sixteenth post, won going away. HILLSDALE dwelt at the start and showing excellent speed in the early running raced into a long lead, but tired in the final eighth. INA KAY raced prominently throughout and saved ground when entering the steetch, but tired and just lasted to take third place. MIZAR closed a big gap and was going fastest of all at the end. GRACE FOSTER met with interference and closed up fast when clear in the final quarter. BOBBED HAIR also met with interference. FLUFF retired from forward contention after entering the stretch. COMIXA raced in near pursuit of the leader throughout and outfinished AMUSEMENT in the final drive. The latter began slowly, but improved her position gamely and was going fast at the finish. SUNDAY BEST displayed fine speed in the early running and saved ground on the turns, but tired in the stretch. LADY MYRA ran a fairly good race all the way. SUPER slipped through on the inside on the bsckstrctch and, racing into a clear lead, showed the most speed to the last eighth, where ho tired. QUECREKIC raced forwardly for three-quarters. PRUDERY moved up menacingly while rounding the last turn, but was unable to Improve her position in the stretch. POLLY ANN was in close quarters while going to the first turn and was forced back, but saved ground oa all the turns and gained steadily. THIMBLE lacked early speed.
