TAMAR RETIRED TO THE STUD LONDON, England, November 11. Tamar has ended his racing career, and he will stand next season at the Littleton stud. Bred and still owned by Lord Astor, the brown half-brother to Buchan was foaled April 22, 1919, and ha-ing run once last season, competed in six races this year. He vas second to Captain Cuttle for the Derby, and Golden Myth in the Eclipse Stakes; but at Goodwood Tamar easily Avon two races, and then went wrong in his preparation for the St. Leger, injuring his off fore tendon during exercise at Manton at the end of August.
