DERBY DINNER TOMORROW New Washington Breeders Asso ¬ ciation Host at Hotel LaSalle Two Thousand Invitations Sent Out to Breeders Turfmen and Representa ¬ tives of Athletics of All Lines The Derby Dinner under the auspices of the New Washington Park Breeders Associa ¬ tion will be held at the Hotel LaSalle on Mopday evening February 19 at 7 p m in the Rookwood room roomTwo Two thousand invitations were sent out to trainers breeders and owners at the tracks now operating Tijuana New Orleans and Havana also to clubs institutions and so ¬ cieties who are interested in the promotion of athletics in any of the various branches branchesTrue True to its promise the New Washington Park Breeders Association has gone along and perfected one of the greatest organiza ¬ tions in America not alone for thorough ¬ bred racing but athletics in all lines All polo teams associations and teams have been extended invitations to have represent ¬ atives at the dinner Even the Army has responded and the officers of the Remount Service are greatly enthused over the propo ¬ sition that the club has offered them in the way of a perpetual challenge trophy of both Army and civilian teams and a grand chal ¬ lenge trophy for the headliners headlinersThe The Great American Trap Shooters Asso ¬ ciation is looking for a permanent home James A Groves has been asked by its governing board to find out what arrange ¬ ments the New Washington Park Breeders Association could make with them for such a home Its committee has been invited to the dinner and representation of over thirtyseven various sports will be on hand to see that their favorite sport has been listed on the program programThe The finance committee has been meeting regularly and will meet on Monday at the club office suite 409 117 North Dearborn street at 2 00 p m Chairman Harry C Cassady has all matters in perfect condition to submit to judge Joseph A Murphy who is leaving New Orleans and will arrive in Chicago Sunday evening Byron W Ev ¬ erett chairman of the organization commit ¬ tee will have his officials lined up to be pres ¬ ent at the meeting and all preparatory work will be completed prior to the dinner dinnerInvitations Invitations mailed out in Chicago have been responded to in many instances not only with the return card but with a letter complimenting the association on the under ¬ taking Senators congressmen representa ¬ tives and judges are on the list of accep ¬ tances as well as leading business men not alone in Chicago but from other cities far and near by
